The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival’s Annual Career Award was presented to Richard Leacock at its festival in April 2006. STF brings this prestigious event to New York. The 85-year-old master of cinema verite will show selections from his 60 year career. Along the way, Leacock was a cameraman for Robert Flaherty; a key member of Drew Associates on films such as PRIMARY and CRISIS; and a partner with D.A. Pennebaker during the time of MONTEREY POP. Leacock taught a generation of filmmakers at MIT, including Ross McElwee and others. He~s an incredible raconteur. These days he lives in France. So the chance to see him in New York is not to be missed.
