Q&A with directors Tony Gerber and Jesse Moss

New York-based directors Tony Gerber and Jesse Moss take us to the Mojave desert where the U.S. military has built an imaginary Iraqi town. U.S. soldiers conduct mock fights against insurgents with additional role-playing by real Iraqi exiles. The directors bring extraordinary skill to this rich material. Gerber eviously directed the fiction feature SIDE STREETS and Moss made the award-winning documentary SPEEDO Here they gain incredible access, delving into the lives of both Iraqis who fled the war and U.S. soldiers headed into it. As reality and fantasy overlap, the film moves from comic to surreal to poignant. It’s sure to win acclaim on this year’s festival circuit. Be part of the first audience to experience it.
