THE PRISONER OR: HOW I PLANNED TO KILL TONY BLAIR
Q&A with co-director Michael Tucker
The makers of GUNNER PALACE return with this stunning film about an Iraqi journalist who was held prisoner for 9 months at Abu Ghraib by the US military for an alleged plot to kill Tony Blair. The film is an eye-opener for both its content and style, employing a comic book motif along with other eclectic footage. The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival. Since then the directors have added new material. This sneak preview precedes the film’s official US premiere at the SXSW Film Festival.
